Andrzej Sygut comes from Wierzbica, a village near Kije, south of Kielce. He graduated in Polish Literature from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. At the beginning of his professional career he worked for Provincial Consumers’ Co-operative Społem, then for many years in the Institute of teachers’ Education and Educational Research.
From 1990 he was the Świętokrzyski education superintendent, and from January 2002 he worked in the Świętokrzyskie Centre for Teachers’ In-service Training.
He is married, with two daughters, and a grandson.

An electrical engineer, graduate from Gdańsk Polytechnic. He has started his professional career in 1977 in FSS “Polmo – SHL” in technical plumb. He was the council – man in the regional council. During 1988 – 1993 he fulfilled function of a manager in companies of public utilities (MPO and KPRD). Until 1999 he was a director in a private, building company operating in the groups of firms with participation of foreign capital. Since 1999 he has been working in Kielce City Hall, directing first Municipal Management and Technical Infractructure Department, The Strategy and Municipal Planning Department, Municipal Management and Enviromnent Protection Department and now in the Municipal Management Department.
